All items purchased from Lush Crystals are cleansed before they get sent to their new homes, although, upon receiving your new pieces, you should always cleanse and introduce them to their new space.
How to cleanse your crystals
Placing them outside or on a windowsill during a full moon or new moon is a beautiful way to cleanse your crystals.
The sun is a great way to energise your crystals, be careful though as some crystals can fade with too much sun exposure.
Incense and/or Smudging
This is a simple and relatively quick way to cleanse your crystals, light your incense or smudge stick and allow your crystals to pass through the smoke, this helps to clear any negative energies.
You can use sound healing as a way to cleanse your crystals, set your intentions and then play the singing bowl for a few minutes.
Water is another beautiful way to cleanse your crystals, although not all crystals can get wet, always check before doing so. Running water or salt water is perfect to cleanse, recharge and reenergise your crystal beauties.
Placing your smaller stones on or near a large Quartz cluster or Selenite to clear bad energies and reenergise your crystals. Remember to cleanse your Quartz cluster often, Selenite is a self cleansing stone.
Visualisation, Intentions, Rice, Mother Earth and Reiki are all great ways to cleanse your crystals too.
Some crystals are perfectly safe to cleanse in water, however there are many that are not.
Crystals that are very soft tend to scratch or flake easily, whilst others contain metals and/or toxins, causing them to rust or become toxic. The following, more common crystals, are considered safe to cleanse in water: Agate, Amethyst, Aventurine, Clear Quartz, Citrine, Red Jasper, Rose Quartz, Smokey Quartz, Snow Quartz, Tigers Eye
If you’re ever unsure, check before using one of the above cleansing methods, Incense and Smudging are our go to because they’re safe for all crystals.
